ABOUT AMY AS A TEACHER / AUTHOR

Amy Speace is a Songwriting, Voice and Performance Teacher. She holds an MFA in Creative Writing from Spalding University and a BA Magna cum laude from Amherst College. She graduated from The National Shakespeare Conservatory’s Professional Actor’s Training Program and spent 10 years acting in NYC and Regional Theater. She brings her knowledge of acting and improv to her performance classes which have transformed students for 20 years. She has taught at The Rocky Mountain Folks Festival Song School, Swannanoa Gathering’s Contemporary Folk Week, Kerrville Song School, Sisters Festival Song School, Berklee College of Music, Northeastern College, and privately from her studio in Nashville and on Zoom.
