Judy Collins talks about music and her life (and Amy!) on NPR

On July 15th, Judy Collins was interviewed on the NPR morning show “On Point” with Tom Ashbrook talking about the song “Somewhere Over The Rainbow”, her newest CD “Paradise” (which includes Amy’s song “Weight of the World”) and mentions Amy. She sings “Rainbow” and it’s just gorgeous. You can listen to the interview on the archive at the link: On Point with Judy Collins

  1. Allison says:

One of the most beautiful songs ever written. My voice teacher in 1999/2000 once told me that Judy Garland was born to sing ”Over the Rainbow”, and that the bone of your voice is ”E”

”When all the clouds darken up the highways, there’s a rainbow skyway to be found. Leading From your windowpane. To a place above the sun…… Just a step beyond the rain” I hope I got that right. I didn’t remember at the time, that there was an opening paragraph. Just simply timeless :)
