If you’re interested in finding your true self, getting to the heart and soul of your performance, there is no one better than Amy Speace to help you get there. She brings to teaching what she brings to performing... Dedication, craft, truth and most importantly profound presence.
— Steve Seskin
In songwriting and in self, I left knowing what authenticity looks like...a sense of community developed and an ability to draw people out of the fear and comfort zones into that community..[it was] a tremendous gift in a world of competition”
— Audrey, Fall 2015 workshop attendee

A songwriting workshop for all levels, including anyone who's never written a song before!
Spend an extraordinary and intimate weekend at the beautiful Penuel Ridge Retreat Center, in Ashland City (30 miles from Nashville), a rustic lodge on 135 acres of wooded land that includes a beautiful lake, hiking trails, and a 11-circuit meditative labyrinth.  From Thursday afternoon through Sunday afternoon, we will gather to work on our craft, helping each other bring out our truest selves on the page and through our voices, creating a collaborative and safe community to stretch our talents, maybe finding new ways of accessing our own 'truths'.  Along the way, you will learn some new tools, maybe meet a new co-writing friend, and perhaps write a song within the weekend. Workshops, yoga, meditation, free time to write and hike along the wooded trails.  Evening song shares, guest artist conversations tba.

Amy possesses a passion to teach what she knows and has been an integral part of the performance faculty at the Song School for nearly two decades. I consider her classes mandatory for all performing songwriters.
